Macoupin County is seeking qualified grant writers interested in providing professional grant writing services to local units of government throughout the county.

The County recently established a Grant Writing Assistance Program designed to help municipalities, townships, special districts, and other eligible local government entities pursue grant funding opportunities. Through the program, Macoupin County may provide funding for grant writing services at a rate of $100 per hour, with County assistance capped at $1,000 per grant application.

To support implementation of the program, the County is creating a list of grant writers who wish to be considered by local governments seeking assistance with grant applications. The list will be made available to participating units of government as they identify grant opportunities and determine their grant writing needs.

Individuals or firms interested in being included on the County’s list should submit:
• Name and contact information
• Business or organization name, if applicable
• Summary of grant writing experience
• Areas of specialization and expertise
• Any relevant references or examples of past grant work

Submissions should be sent to the Macoupin County Clerk’s Office at [email protected] no later than July 15th, 2026

Participation on the list does not guarantee selection for any project. The Macoupin County Board will remain responsible for selecting grant writers and submitting grant applications.

The County hopes the program will help local governments compete for additional state, federal, and private grant opportunities that benefit residents throughout Macoupin County.
